Poor paw

I have got a pawly paw. Bignose trod on it.

I was running up the stairs when I saw Bignose coming down. I decided to avert disaster by quickening my pace and darting to one side. Unfortunately Bignose deliberately stepped to one side, the same side, to step on my poor paw.

I am not speaking to Bignose.
